SIAC and Haiti's tragedy
Dear friends, The Society of the Friends of Cicero cannot remain insensitive with the tragedy which has struck Haiti. Neither our statutes nor our budget allow us to act directly in favor of the disaster victims. The humanist ideal which lives in each one of us and which justifies our common project encourages us to solidarity.
If one among you knows an Haitian colleague - philologist, historian, Latinist, etc - to whom the SIAC could provide some support, let us know without hesitation.
For individual initiatives, we recall that Google put on line a page of information which appears very serious and useful.
